SMART Marshalling - Track

Whatever your circuit event, with SMART Marshalling everything is under control.

From the experience in championships such as Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3 and DTM, etc, EM Motorsport has developed a new Marshalling System suitable for all circuits and championships that wish to improve safety on the track during races or circuit events and track days.

The brand-new SMART Marshalling adapts perfectly to any type of racing and non-racing car, and is perfect for informing drivers of any danger around the track.

Race Direction can monitor the real-time accurate GPS position of all vehicles and much more. For example, it can keep car speed under control to analyse whether a driver respects the speed limits imposed from a Code 60 or a Full course Yellow. Or it can detect any car accident through the Accident Severity value (ASI) sent by the SMART Marshalling, and immediately take the necessary action. Race Control can see if a car has received a yellow flag in a sector, either real time or from the log files, so that an after-race dispute about speeding in a dangerous situation can be easily resolved. Possibilities are endless with this detailed information available now in Race Control.

Thanks to the satellite system embedded in SMART Marshalling and the bi-directional communication between vehicle and race control, it is possible to have all the necessary information in real time to ensure correct race management. Time critical decision, such as Safety Car deployment, are taken based on the current available data, which often are poor or unavailable: the superior accuracy of the information available from SMART Marshalling helps to choose the best course of action in the shortest possible time.
